I find You in the Mystery

Image

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail

And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

I find You in the mysteries of my life. I find You when I look for You.

We only seem to care about You when we need something. Like grown children that move out and only call when they are in need. When times get tough and the waters rise then we need You. Then we want You.

In my darkest moments I have called for You. You were always there. You’ve never failed me and You won’t start now.

I was on my way to abort my child, Your child. I called You. You answered.

I was on the floor pondering death. I called You. You answered.

My marriage was drowning. I called You. You answered.

My hope for my children’s future was fading. I called You. You answered.

My purpose was lost. I called You. You answered.

My fears were faced with a gun. I called You. You answered.

My dreams were dashed. My passion was empty.

You called me.

I answered.

You never hide from us. You are always waiting for us. Waiting for us to need You. Waiting for us to want You. Waiting for us to want to live with You. Waiting for us to answer Your call.

Spirit, You have called me out upon the waters… to the great unknown.

Where my feet felt like they were failing; I was drowning.

But there I found You in the mystery and in those deep oceans my faith will stand.

I will call upon Your name and keep my eyes above the waves.

When oceans rise around me my soul will rest in Your embrace.

I am Yours. You are mine.

Your grace always abounds in the deepest waters.

Your sovereign hand will always be my guide.

When my feet fail and fear surrounds me… You have never failed me and I know You never will.

My faith has been made stronger in the presence of my Savior.

My child is alive and well and living his life for You.

I am alive and well and living my life for You.

My marriage is alive and well and we are living it all for You.

All of our children are alive and thriving and we owe it all to You.

My purpose is plain to see… it’s certainly no mystery. You have already told us all… our purpose is to give You our all.

I have taken Your courage and You have taken my fears.

You have given me new dreams and filled me with Your passion.

Lord, I thank You for Your Spirit that lives within me and continues to lead me… where my trust is without borders. You have encouraged me to walk upon Your waters…. Exactly where You have called me. Exactly where You need me. Exactly where I belong. Where my faith is made stronger and I am filled with inexplicable Peace and Joy.

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I WILL listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me WHEN you search for Me with ALL your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13

Call to Me and I WILL answer you and tell you great and mighty things which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

  1. I am so in LOVE with this song, Carol! It’s timely on so many levels. I love the lyric, “Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders”. It’s scary and exciting all at the same time. xoxoox
